Indonesia in two weeks: from Java to Komodo

Temples, volcanoes, orangutans, shrines, beaches and dragons in one trip. Here is how we put together our 14 to 16 day programmes.

01Why combine several islands

Every Indonesian island has its own character. In two weeks you can experience Javanese culture, Balinese spirituality, the Bornean rainforest and the wild nature of Komodo, with Komodo as the grand finale.

02Java: temples and volcanoes

Borobudur Temple reveals the historical and spiritual heritage of Java, while Mount Bromo offers one of the most spectacular sunrises in Indonesia.

03Borneo and Toraja

In Kalimantan you sleep on a klotok, a traditional river boat, surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest and with the chance to meet orangutans. The 16-day programme also visits Toraja in Sulawesi, one of the most unique ancestral cultures in Indonesia.

04Bali, Lombok and the Gili Islands

Bali offers temples, green rice terraces and waterfalls. Afterwards, Lombok and the Gili Islands bring clear-water beaches, traditional villages and the chance to swim with turtles.

05Komodo as the finale

The journey ends in Komodo National Park: sailing between islands, hiking Padar, relaxing on Pink Beach and meeting the largest lizard in the world.

These programmes are indicative. Domestic flights, schedules and the number of nights on each island are adjusted to availability and confirmed at booking.
